Tackling the plastic waste issue from the beach to the town!
As a region bordered by one of Australia’s most beautiful coastlines, this heightens the need for Cronulla to take initiative to reduce plastic waste and ultimately protect the ocean from pollution.
On the 21-22 of October, we joined part in the Plastic Free Expo hosted by Plastic Free Cronulla, supporting the community as a plastic-free supplier! The event aimed to connect businesses to eco-friendly packaging suppliers whilst giving individuals the opportunity to learn more about the range of compostable products that are available.

Following the supplier exhibition, the Plastic Free Expo held a forum to give insight into the weight of the plastic free crisis as well as case studies and tips on transition process. Guest speakers included Joe Glendinning from The Surfrider Foundation, Tony Wales, the former Georges River Keeper and Mark Speakman from the NSW Government. The talks were then followed by a panel of local business owners, discussing the balance between achieving sustainability and business outcomes.
It was fantastic to see such great passion and community engagement, with high local and government support for the initiative.
Together, we can join the plastic free movement to beautify our shores and transition towards a sustainable Cronulla!
