Healthy Kids Expo

More than 400 canteen managers across the state had gathered together at Australian Turf Club's Rosehill Gardens for the Healthy Kids Association Food Exhibition and Training Day 2019.

Schools across Australia are transitioning towards sustainable processes – with passionate students driving the change!

This Tuesday, more than 400 canteen managers across the state had gathered together at Australian Turf Club’s Rosehill Gardens for the Healthy Kids Association Food Exhibition and Training Day 2019.

Visitors were open to discovering products and services across the food industry – from healthy frozen foods, to natural snack alternatives and eco-friendly food packaging.

We had the wonderful opportunity to inspire and share our sustainable packaging solutions whilst gaining insights on how schools are already transitioning towards eco-friendly processes – with passionate students driving the change!

Throughout the day speakers and demonstrators took to the stage including Masterchef’s Tim Bone and celebrity chef Jacqui Gowan, cooking up a storm and providing insights into creating healthy canteen meals.

In between presentations people were free to explore the huge number of stalls from a wide range of companies. It was a great day with hundreds of people in attendance, all working toward the common goal of providing healthier and environmentally conscious food options to Australian canteens.

The Healthy Kids Expo brought together canteen managers, teachers and principals from all over NSW for the common goal of providing healthier, more sustainable food solutions for Australian kids.

Being able to speak directly to canteen managers, teachers, and principals was a blast, and we’d like to thank everyone who came past and said hello at our Greenmark stand.

Throughout the day we heard again and again how involved the kids of NSW are in pushing their schools’ canteens to minimize plastic waste.

It’s inspiring to see that kids coming up today are so engaged in environmental outcomes, and are working towards real changes in the systems they can influence. It’s a level of commitment to the environment that the world needs to truly see change, and we can’t wait to see what the future will bring.

Sustainable packaging for a sustainable future!
